About Wesley:
Movie stars might not pass through Degustation, the tiny 19-seat tapas bar-style restaurant in New York’s East Village, but it certainly gets its share of the city’s top chefs. Daniel Humm, David Chang and Thomas Keller have all come by the restaurant to sample the cooking of 28-year-old executive chef Wesley Genovart. He commands the open kitchen with aplomb, using immersion circulators and other tools familiar in the arsenal of avant-garde cooks like Ferran Adrià to create elegant dishes, plating each with precision right before diners’ eyes. Genovart, who was raised on the Spanish island of Majorca and in Fresno, California, has spent time in both Spanish and American kitchens. He worked in the Basque country, in Boston with Ken Oringer atClio and at Jean-Georges Vongerichten’s Perry St. before being hand-picked to helm Degustation. There, his skilled French technique and knowledge of Spanish tradition ensure artful reinterpretations and deconstructions that keep bringing top chefs, and a growing legion of dedicated diners, back for more. Zaki’s path continues to progress, layering new experiences on top of each other that uniquely influence her musical ventures, culminating in her most recent project, Eclectica (Episodes in Purple). Zaki’s road has been paved with creative encounters that have propelled her forward – from a childhood steeped in musical influences, to performing at Capetown’s historic Armchair Theatre, then touring Canada with South Africa’s Tumi and the Volume, The Roots, Bedouin Soundclash, and Erykah Badu to collaborating with famed DJs King Britt and Ron Trent.

About Ellis G:
Ellis Gallagher is a native New Yorker. As the graffiti writer formally known as "NET," his work can be found in the five boroughs and environs, The Brooklyn Front Gallery, in Autograf: New York City's Graffiti Writers by Peter Sutherland (Powerhouse Books 2004), as well as in numerous newspapers, magazines, on television and in films. Currently a street artist known as Ellis G., Gallagher's work has appeared in Time Out NY, the NY Daily News, Trampoline House Gallery, as well as on NY 1 and The WB 11. Gallagher will publish his first book "Adhesives," the ultimate compendium of graffiti, graphic design and street art stickers in fall 2006 with Miss Rosen Editions for Powerhouse Books.
