In order to want to see a change in any aspect or situation in life, you have to go out and do something about it. I have lived in Van Nuys my whole life and I aspire to be the motivating and enlightening voice for the individuals within the community. I have paved and challenged the societal norms and broken and question the barriers that have put in front of me not only as a woman but as a Guatemalan-American, member of the LGBTQ community and being the first-generation college graduate. I'm currently the youngest running for neighborhood council- I aspire to provide a platform to keep our community informed and listening to their wants and needs in our neighborhood. I am determined to represent the people and inspire your youth to run for local politics.
