MC'S / Videos We Love :: "Lyrics To Go" by KOTA the Friend
We have to start this by sending a HUGE thank you to our homie @deephunk for putting KOTA the Friend on our radars. We must admit, after watching one of Kota’s 1 min. “Lyrics to Go” videos, we were hooked! Thankfully for us, he had dozens of these straight-to-camera-single-take videos each adding another layer of depth and complexity to his story telling skills. It looks like Brooklyn has the makings of another lyrical legend in the makings. Enjoy!

Animations We Love :: "Purl" by Kristen Lester - Pixar SparkShorts
If anyone needed another example of the power of being yourself, Pixar SparkShorts director Kristen Lester weaves (yes, I said it) this beautiful tight knit story about the benefits of staying true to you. You go Purl!

Purl, directed by Kristen Lester and produced by Gillian Libbert-Duncan, features an earnest ball of yarn named Purl who gets a job in a fast-paced, high energy, bro-tastic start-up. Yarny hijinks ensue as she tries to fit in, but how far is she willing to go to get the acceptance she yearns for, and in the end, is it worth it?
I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t thinking about the artist Olek the whole time I watched this.
Tech We Love :: "Mechanical Mirrors" by Daniel Rozin
The first thing my daughter said when I showed her this video was, OOOHHHH, I WANT ONE! I mean what’s not to like about a wall of fuzzy trolls, penguins and pom poms that react to your every movement? We’re all in!
